Our Partners
The City of Oshawa

The City of Oshawa is the main contributor of lands, funding, site planning expertise and operating services. Oshawa City Council established the OVBG Task Force as a volunteer collaborative partnership.
The OVBG Task Force
The Task Force is made up of community volunteers and corporate partners whose input helps shape the course of garden development and provides the ongoing stewardship of the project.
Current members of the Task Force include representatives from:
- the Oshawa Garden Club
- Oshawa Rotary Club
- Parkwood Estate
- the City of Oshawa
- the Downtown Oshawa Board of Management, and
- the community at large.
The role of the Task Force members is to promote awareness, raise funds and to engage the community. This is accomplished by sharing their talents in program development, funding support, education, public relations and horticultural expertise.
With strong horticultural themes and educational programming, the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens will generate exciting community use opportunities and serve as a wonderful tourist draw for the region. These elements all combine to create a superior, world-class garden experience.
